My problem with Howie stems largely from the fact: 1) He is a hack columnist who hasn't broken a sweat in God-knows how many years. 2) His columns tend to be summaries of his radio show from the day before 3) He makes millions of dollars a year, lives in a Wellesley mansion, works four hours a day, and somehow listerners/readers buy his "man of the people" schtick. The article, for the most part, is right on. There is so much of this stuff going on in Massachusetts that the financial waste is tremendous. Think of the savings to taxpayers if this wasn't going on. This is one of the reasons I left Massachusetts. Those in charge kept taking and taking. Shame on them for doing so and shame on you for speaking on their behalf. Sounds like someone is jealous because they didn’t write this article. The article, for the most part, is right on.
